Make Your Own Diet-Meal Program to Save Money
Today I will talk on how to make your own diet-meal program to save money. Now that is February how are your resolutions going? I know many people still wanna lose weight and save money. But sometimes it’s impossible to do both at the same time. Well gym memberships and diet food programs can be expensive. We suggest that you take charge on your own. For example, I recently bout a 7 pound chicken by using $4 and 7 cents by using a $3 marked down coupon target. At home I have a bag of frozen vegetables from Coscow and a 10 pound bag of brown rice.
I cook the chicken whole with a little olive oil, half a lemon and a little salt. Then I cooked my rice in the rice cooker well also allowing heating the frozen veggies. It was nearly 15 min of proper time than 2 hours of time. After everything cooled I measured 4 ounces of chicken at a time and placed them in my reasonable containers. I then scooped half a cup of rice and vegetables on top. This made eight containers worth. I used 50 cents worth of rice, 50 cent worth of garnishes and wanted $2 worth of frozen vegetables. I estimated a cost of $67 to make everything proximately 75 cents for dinner.
Compare to smart one frozen on trays they just marked it $88. If I buy eight of those then it would have cost me $15. So right away I am saving $89 dollars to eight meals. You can also make a whole week pasta with a help of a tomato sauce and lean grown turkey or make a huge crock pot with soup, stew and chilly. I also make salads for lunch too and put a homemade dressing on right before I eat. For snacks such as yogurt and cottage cheese buy the large tub from a big box store and need smaller containers to package them to save you a lot.
Remember little changes can add up to lot of loss or money saved at the end of the year. Over all you will save on your grocery bills, calories and feel healthier.
