That is 70% of our electric bill just on air conditioning. And I know that we are being experiencing record of temperature this summer. So here are a few tips that would help you keep that electricity bill down.

First of all make sure that you turn off your air conditioning when you leave or turn it down when you leave the home. I was always like to leave and it makes thing go worse and it actually makes a big difference in your electric bill and all you have to do is to suffer through the heat till your air conditioning heats up to a level of comfort.

Number two is, make sure that you don’t place the old dinosaur units in the window. There is a initial cost upfront but it is going to make a big difference when your purchase an energy efficient as opposed to the old ones.

Number three, make sure you place those filters, I guilty of this, I am sure that it is not the end ones to this but make sure you place those filters as it is going to make a big difference in your electric bill at the end of the month.

Number four, make sure that you open your windows in the morning and in the evening when you have that cool air coming in, it will going to help your room cool for the rest of the day as you house becomes cooler and

Number five, use those fans, which are less expensive and save electricity than running those expensive ACs and make sure that you realize this at your home.
